Stevie Wonder launches 50th Anniversary Tour for Songs in the Key of Life

Stevie Wonder has launched his ‘Songs in the Key of Life’ 50th Anniversary Tour, beginning with a performance at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham. The concert featured a 22-song setlist that included the full original album performed in nearly the same order as the 1976 release, along with the four tracks from the original bonus EP. The performance included musicians who worked on the original album, such as bassist Nathan Watts and keyboardist Greg Phillinganes.

In conjunction with the tour, Wonder has released a new EP containing four tracks from the original recording sessions of ‘Songs in the Key of Life’. This release serves as a musical throwback to the sessions that produced his landmark 1976 album, featuring tracks such as ‘It’s Easier’ and ‘My Life Story of Love’.
