Stevie Wonder Songs in the Key of Life anniversary tour
Overview
Stevie Wonder has launched an 18-date world tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his 1976 landmark double album, ‘Songs in the Key of Life’. The tour, which began on October 13, 2026, at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, United Kingdom, features the artist performing the entire album at every show.
The opening Birmingham performance featured a 22-song setlist, including the full original album performed in nearly the same order as the 1976 release, alongside four tracks from a newly released anniversary EP. The concert included original collaborators such as bassist Nathan Watts and keyboardist Greg Phillinganes. Following the UK start, the tour moved to Copenhagen, where Wonder performed at the Royal Arena.
In conjunction with the tour, Wonder released a surprise EP titled ‘Songs in the Key of Life: The EP’ on September 28, 2026. The collection contains four previously unreleased recordings from the original 1974–1976 sessions: ‘It’s Easier’, ‘My Life Story of Love’, ‘I Can See the Sun In Late December’, and ‘I’m Into Livin’’. The tracks were mixed by original engineers John Fischbach and Gary O Adante.
The tour is scheduled to continue through various European cities, including Paris, London, Oslo, Cologne, and Amsterdam, before moving to North America. The North American leg is set to commence on November 19, with stops in New York City at Madison Square Garden, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Detroit, before concluding on December 19 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
