Stevie Wonder releases unreleased tracks for 50th anniversary

Stevie Wonder is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his landmark 1976 album, Songs in the Key of Life, with the release of a new EP featuring four previously unreleased tracks. The songs, titled “It’s Easier,” “My Life Story of Love,” “I Can See the Sun in Late December,” and “I’m Into Livin’,” were recorded during the original album sessions but remained unvaulted for five decades.

Wonder personally selected the tracks, which were recently remixed by the album’s original engineers, John Fischbach and Gary O. Adante. The release coincides with an upcoming anniversary tour where the artist plans to perform the original album in its entirety. The tour is scheduled to include stops across Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

To mark the release, the EP was made available at 4:54 a.m., a time that holds historical significance for the project as it was the exact moment the final original recording session concluded in 1976.
