Stânca border police seize stolen Italian motorcycle
Romanian border police at the Stânca crossing point intercepted a motorcycle that was identified as stolen from Italy. The vehicle, which was registered in Moldova, had its identification series modified to evade detection.
Upon conducting additional checks, authorities discovered the original serial number, which matched an alert issued by Italian authorities in 2012. The driver, a 39-year-old Moldovan citizen, stated he purchased the motorcycle in Moldova in 2024 for 9,000 euros and claimed he was unaware of its legal status. The motorcycle, valued at approximately 50,000 lei, has been seized for further investigation into potential concealment of a crime.
