Stockard Channing reflects on life in London and career

Actress Stockard Channing, best known for her role as Rizzo in the film Grease, has shared reflections on her life, career, and move to London. The 82-year-old relocated to the UK from the US seven years ago following the death of her partner, Dan Gillham, in 2014.

Channing described her current lifestyle in London as a happy, reclusive existence. She noted that the loss of Gillham had a significant impact on her life, prompting the move from Maine. While she expressed some reflection on the decision not to have children, she noted that she is content with her current path.

In terms of professional endeavors, Channing is set to reprise her role in the upcoming Practical Magic sequel. She is also making her directorial debut with Samuel Beckett’s Krapp’s Last Tape at the Edinburgh Festival.
