Stone Harbor, New Jersey opens new inclusive playground and touts its clear‑water beach
The borough of Stone Harbor, New Jersey, has completed a $750,000 inclusive playground at 82nd Street, funded by a New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection grant. The facility, part of a broader effort to replace corroded equipment on the town’s waterfront, held a ribbon‑cutting ceremony in June 2026 following the earlier reconstruction of the 97th Street playground.
Local sources also note that Stone Harbor’s 96th Street Beach is recognized for having the clearest water along the Jersey Shore, ranking among the state’s most transparent Atlantic beaches.
