Storms in New York force cancellation of six JetBlue flights between Santo Domingo and JFK

A severe storm affecting the New York metropolitan area prompted Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom) to cancel at least six round‑trip JetBlue flights connecting Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo with John F. Kennedy International Airport. The cancelled services included outbound flights 710 and 1850 from Santo Domingo to JFK and inbound flights such as 1849 from New York to Santo Domingo, with flight 2709 pending further weather updates. Dozens of passengers were left stranded at both airports and were advised to verify flight status before traveling.

JetBlue, which operates more than 60% of the Dominican Republic–U.S. traffic, was the primary carrier affected. Aerodom urged travelers to check flight information before proceeding to the airport.
