Stoyan Kolev arrested by Spanish police in Valencia

Bulgarian influencer Stoyan Kolev has been arrested by Spanish authorities in Valencia. The arrest occurred while Kolev was broadcasting live on TikTok, as captured in video footage showing police entering his room and placing him in handcuffs.

Kolev had been a fugitive since August 24, after escaping house arrest in Burgas by removing his electronic monitoring bracelet. Following his escape, the Pazardzhik District Court ordered his detention in custody. He faces several criminal charges in Bulgaria, including driving under the influence of cocaine and aggressive behavior on the Trakia motorway, as well as disorderly conduct at the Pazardzhik Courthouse.

Bulgarian Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev commented on the arrest via social media. Kolev is expected to face extradition to Bulgaria to stand trial for the pending charges.
