Stray Kids leader Bang Chan donates 300 million won for birthday

Stray Kids leader Bang Chan donated 300 million won (approximately $223,218) to three different organizations to mark his 29th birthday on October 3. JYP Entertainment announced that the funds were split equally, with 100 million won allocated to each of the following recipients:

• HearCycle: To fund medical expenses and social rehabilitation for youth with hearing loss. • World Vision: To support scholarship programs and growth assistance for vulnerable children and adolescents. • OSEAN: To support environmental efforts including coastal cleanups and river purification.

Bang Chan expressed that it means a lot to offer support to various areas in need, ranging from children’s aspirations to environmental protection. This follows a significant period of philanthropy for the artist; in September, he donated 200 million won to the Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital and the Korean Committee for UNICEF, bringing his recent total donations to 500 million won.
