Bang Chan philanthropy
Overview
Bang Chan, a member of the South Korean group Stray Kids, has engaged in a series of significant philanthropic activities.
In September, he donated 200 million won, split equally between the Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital to assist in establishing specialized rehabilitation centers and the UNICEF Korea Committee to aid recovery from flooding in Nepal. He expressed a desire to ‘offer a little comfort to those who are going through difficult and exhausting times.’
On October 3, to mark his 29th birthday, Bang Chan donated an additional 300 million won. This contribution was divided equally among three organizations: HearCycle, to support youth with hearing loss; World Vision, for scholarship and growth programs for vulnerable children; and OSEAN, for environmental efforts such as coastal and river purification. These recent contributions bring his total donations to 500 million won.
