Streamer Spreen attempts Guinness World Record for largest alfajor

Argentine streamer Iván ‘Spreen’ Buhajeruk is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the largest alfajor. The challenge is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, at Plaza Naciones Unidas in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires.

To achieve the record, which has been held by Uruguay since 2010 with a 464-kilogram piece, the preparation will require massive quantities of ingredients, including 1,400 kilograms of dulce de leche, 800 kilograms of flour, 400 kilograms of chocolate, 100 kilograms of honey, and over 250 flats of eggs. An official Guinness World Records judge will be present to certify the weight.

Buhajeruk, a 25-year-old content creator with millions of followers on Twitch and YouTube, is also a co-founder of the candy brand GIGA. The event is part of the ‘Cafecito’ initiative by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires and is expected to draw over 5,000 attendees.
