Argentine streamer Iván ‘Spreen’ Buhajeruk initiated an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest alfajor at the Plaza de las Naciones Unidas in Buenos Aires. The project, part of the ‘Cafecito’ initiative, required massive quantities of ingredients including 1,400 kilograms of dulce de leche and 800 kilograms of flour.

Following the attempt, Argentina successfully set a new world record with a confection weighing 3,112 kilograms. The assembly involved over 100 participants, including students and professionals from the Instituto Gastronómico Internacional, who worked in teams to create a structure of 46 interlocking pieces. This achievement significantly surpassed the previous record of 464 kilograms held by Uruguay since 2010.
