Street Fighter Live-Action Film Set for 2026 Release

A new live‑action adaptation of the Street Fighter video‑game franchise is slated for an October 2026 theatrical release. The movie is being produced by Legendary in partnership with Capcom and will be distributed by Paramount Pictures. Directed by Kitão Sakurai, the film follows a 1993 World Warrior Tournament that conceals a larger conspiracy. The cast includes Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, and Liang as Chun‑Li.

A recent featurette revealed that Jason Momoa will appear as the electric fighter Blanka, describing the role as his “dream role.” Momoa’s involvement adds further star power to the project, which aims to showcase classic moves such as Hadouken and Flash Kick while staying true to the series’ iconic characters and visual style.
