Students in Argentina and Mexico engage in environmental and climate initiatives
In Argentina, the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC) has launched the first Provincial Meeting of School Scientific Communication, titled ‘Relatos del Ambiente’. The initiative invites secondary schools from across Córdoba, including rural areas, to participate via virtual registration. Students and teachers can submit infographics or short documentaries focusing on local biodiversity or regional environmental issues.
In Mexico, the University Environmental Federation UNIVERDE held a national climate summit meeting at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Puebla. Twelve students from Nuevo León participated in the event, which brought together approximately 300 federations from 23 Mexican states. The group presented ‘Ecothrift’, a flagship project based on circular economy principles, as part of their preparation for the Local Conference of Youth on Climate Change Mexico 2026 (LCOY).
