Students in Greece participate in awareness activities for World Restart a Heart Day and White Cane Day
Students in Greece participated in various experiential activities to mark international awareness days. At Kleitoria Primary School, students joined a nationwide initiative by the humanitarian organization Kids Save Lives for World Restart a Heart Day. Through digital connections with hundreds of other schools, students learned essential first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques using improvised models made from everyday items like stuffed animals and water bottles.
In a separate initiative marking World White Cane Day, fourth-grade students from the 3rd Primary School of Almouros visited the Special Primary School of Almouros. The students engaged in activities designed to foster empathy for those with visual impairments, including navigating spaces using white canes while blindfolded and participating in Goalball, a Paralympic sport for the visually impaired. These activities aimed to promote inclusion, accessibility, and solidarity.
