Students injured in Crans-Montana fire return to Milan school
Four students from the Liceo Virgilio in Milan have returned to school following months of hospitalization due to injuries sustained in the Crans-Montana fire. The students, identified as Sofia, Kean, Leonardo Bove, and Francesca, were welcomed back to their human sciences classroom with applause from teachers and classmates.
To accommodate the students' recovery from burns, the school has implemented specific medical accommodations. These include moving the classroom to a ground floor to limit the use of stairs, providing larger and more comfortable chairs, and installing fans to maintain cool temperatures for their sensitive skin.
The return to the classroom is being managed gradually, with attendance schedules adjusted based on medical advice and the individual health conditions of the students. For the survivors, the return marks a significant step toward normalcy after undergoing intensive care and multiple surgeries.
