Students restore 510 tombstones at Dumlupınar Martyrdom

Students from the İscehisar Hacı Süleyman Selek Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School have completed the restoration of 510 tombstones at the Dumlupınar Martyrdom in Afyonkarahisar.

In collaboration with the 5th Regional Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, the project involved cutting, engraving, painting, and placing the new stones. The work was carried out by 11th and 12th-grade students under the coordination of Machine Technology Department Chief Yavuz Duruk. The school director, Yasin Kaplan, noted that the institution has been contributing to the maintenance and repair of martyrdom sites in partnership with the regional directorate for approximately three years.
