Stunting prevention initiatives launched in Demak and Jakarta

Various initiatives are underway in Indonesia to combat stunting through education and direct social assistance. In Demak, Central Java, students from Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS) conducted health socialization for pregnant women at a Posyandu in Brambang Village. The program focused on the importance of balanced nutrition, routine prenatal check-ups, and maintaining maternal health to ensure optimal child development from the pregnancy stage.

In Jakarta, the National Committee for Stunting Prevention (KNPS) Indonesia marked its third anniversary by providing free health screenings and distributing nutritional food packages to residents in the Senen temporary housing area. KNPS Chairman David Hamka emphasized that the organization aims to increase its social impact through collaboration to improve community health and nutrition awareness.
