Subaru revives base Impreza trim and lowers 2027 starting price

Subaru has announced updates for the 2027 Impreza, which includes the revival of a base trim level and a reduction in starting price. The new base model will start at $25,840, representing a $1,950 decrease from the previous entry-level Sport trim. This makes the 2027 Impreza the most affordable all-wheel-drive compact car currently available.

Both the base and the RS trims will feature a 180-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. While the base model features 17-inch wheels and dual 7.0-inch touchscreens, the RS trim starts at $30,740 and includes 18-inch wheels, a larger 11.6-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and heated front seats.

Dealerships are expected to begin receiving the 2027 models toward the end of this year. Available colors include Crystal Black Silica, Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Magnetite Gray Metallic, Sapphire Blue Pearl, and a new Ignition Red option.
