Subaru rolls out Trailseeker EV SUV and upgrades Solterra for European market

Subaru of America announced the 2027 Trailseeker electric SUV with a base price of US$39,995. The model delivers 375 hp, accelerates from 0‑60 mph in 4.3 seconds, and comes with standard all‑wheel drive. Three trim levels – Premium, Limited and Touring – offer up to 281 mi (452 km) of range, with fast‑charging capability that brings the battery from 10 % to 80 % in about 28 minutes via a 150 kW NACS connector.

In Europe, Subaru unveiled a refreshed Solterra and introduced two additional electric models, the Uncharted and the E‑Outback, expanding its electric SUV portfolio to three vehicles. The updated Solterra gains higher autonomy and power, while the new models target the most rapidly growing European segments. The expansion is supported by Subaru’s partnership with Toyota, which provides platform and technology sharing, and is reinforced by EU emissions regulations and national incentives that are accelerating electric‑vehicle adoption across Spain and other markets.
