In early July 2026, Subaru of America unveiled its 2027 Trailseeker electric SUV for the U.S. market, priced at $39,995, delivering 375 hp, 0‑60 mph in 4.3 seconds, and up to 281 mi of range with fast‑charging via a 150 kW NACS connector. At the same time, the company refreshed its European Solterra and added two new electric models, the Uncharted and the E‑Outback, expanding its electric SUV portfolio in line with EU emissions rules and incentive programs.

Later in the month, Subaru announced a further upgrade to the 2026 Solterra, extending EPA‑rated range to roughly 288 mi thanks to a larger 74.7 kWh battery and an 11 kW onboard charger, while adding NACS fast‑charging ports and a dual‑motor system delivering up to 338 hp. Concurrently, the firm disclosed a production delay for the flagship three‑row Getaway SUV, originally slated for the Toyota‑owned Kentucky plant, pushing its launch beyond the planned fall rollout. The Getaway will share a platform with Toyota’s Highlander EV, offering multiple battery options and robust towing capacity.

At the end of July, Subaru introduced a €3,000 “Outdōor‑Prämie” incentive for its fully electric models (€2,500 for combustion variants), running until 30 September 2026. The promotion applies to the Uncharted and Solterra, priced from €36,990 and €45,990 respectively. In the same announcement, Subaru launched the e‑Outback, an all‑electric version derived from the Solterra and Toyota BZ4X platform. The e‑Outback retains a 4‑wheel‑drive layout, adds 15 cm of length while keeping the same wheelbase, offers a larger cargo area, a roof‑mounted tent option, and a WLTP‑rated range of up to 526 km, with a starting price of €52,990.
