Subaru launches upgraded BRZ with enhanced EyeSight and new shift‑lever design
On 30 July 2026 Subaru announced a revised version of its BRZ sports coupe (referred to as the F‑type). The update adds a three‑camera EyeSight system – a wide‑angle monocular camera combined with the existing stereo pair – which expands the intersection‑collision‑avoidance support area. This is the first time the manual‑transmission (MT) BRZ receives the wide‑angle camera.
The revision also incorporates a new shift‑lever structure derived from Subaru’s Super Taikyu endurance‑racing experience, delivering smoother gear changes. Pricing starts at ¥3,377,000 for the R‑grade manual, ¥3,564,000 for the S‑grade manual and ¥3,839,000 for the STI Sport manual (with automatic versions priced slightly higher). Subaru plans to sell about 250 units per month of the revised model.
