Subaru updates Impreza specs and launches electric e-Outback

Subaru is implementing strategic updates to its vehicle lineup, focusing on both internal combustion and electric powertrains. For the 2027 model year, the Impreza will receive a €2,000 price reduction and a more powerful 2.5-liter boxer engine, replacing the base 2.0-liter unit. This change brings its performance closer to the Crosstrek model.

Additionally, the brand is expanding its electric offerings with the 100% electric e-Outback. Developed through a partnership with Toyota using the e-TNGA platform, the vehicle is produced at Subaru’s Yajima plant near Tokyo. The e-Outback features a dual electric motor producing 381 horsepower and has recently entered the Italian market with starting prices of €53,900.
