Subic Bay authorities seize P366M worth of kush from yacht

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Subic has seized an additional 123.91 kilograms of high-grade kush from a yacht docked at the Subic Bay Yacht Club. This latest discovery, consisting of 109 packages, brings the total amount of drugs recovered from the vessel to 198 packages, with an estimated street value of P366.65 million.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is now seeking access to the sailing yacht, identified as the ‘Lindsy’, which remains in BOC custody. The PCG intends to examine the vessel’s navigational data, including logbooks, GPS, and electronic chart systems, to identify maritime routes and corridors potentially used for smuggling illegal substances into the country.
