Students conduct bicycle tour across Serbia to promote political reform

Student activists in Serbia are conducting a multi-city bicycle tour titled ‘Guardians of the Constitution’ to promote political reform and civic engagement ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 25.

In Subotica, participants of the tour joined a central gathering of the ‘Egyetemista Lista’ (University List). Candidates such as Zoran Đajić, Nemanja Đurić, and Dejan Šoškić presented an 11-point program focusing on judicial reform, transparency, and the recovery of state assets. Đajić criticized the current administration, calling for accountability regarding past political fatalities and the restoration of public media.

The bicycle tour, which began in Belgrade on September 17, involves two groups traveling through various Serbian cities, including Niš, Kraljevo, and Prokuplje. The activists distribute copies of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia to emphasize that the law must apply equally to all citizens. The tour is expected to conclude in Kragujevac on September 26.
