Sucker Punch releases Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition for PS5

Sucker Punch Productions has released the ‘Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition’ for PlayStation 5. Following the release, a patch introduced new content including the story expansion ‘Echoes of Sekigahara’ and a roguelike-inspired combat survival mode titled ‘Most Wanted’.

In an interview, Art Director Joanna Wang and Lead System Designer Parker Hamilton discussed the creative decisions behind the expansion. Wang explained that the ‘Echoes of Sekigahara’ content aims to deepen the characterization of the protagonist, Atsu, by exploring her past and her relationship with Nagato, providing a more humanizing look at her life before her journey of revenge.

The update also features the return of Jin Sakai, the protagonist from ‘Ghost of Tsushima’, as a playable character. Additionally, the ‘Most Wanted’ mode allows players to combine various combat skills in a repeatable survival format.
