Sudden deaths reported in Dominican Republic and Mexico
Two separate incidents of sudden death were reported in different regions.
In Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic, 72-year-old Miguel Ángel Severino Jiménez died after collapsing while walking at the intersection of Jesús de Galíndez and Octavio Mejía Ricart streets in Ensanche Ozama. Emergency services arrived after residents alerted the 9-1-1 system, but Severino Jiménez had already passed away. Authorities from the National Police and the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) attended the scene to conduct procedures. The exact cause of death remains undetermined pending official evaluations.
In Morelia, Mexico, a man died outside Plaza San Miguel following an apparent heart attack. Witnesses reported that the individual felt unwell and fainted on the concrete near Avenida Madero Oriente. Although Red Cross paramedics provided first aid, they were unable to revive him. The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) and the Immediate Attention Unit conducted investigations into the incident.
