The Superintendency for the Development of the Northeast (Sudene) has approved 19 requests for fiscal incentives involving companies operating in seven Brazilian states. The decisions include requests for Corporate Income Tax (IRPJ) reductions and tax reinvestment for projects focused on implementation, modernization, expansion, and diversification.

These approved projects currently employ 3,902 workers. The companies involved have already invested over R$ 220 million in their respective ventures. Significant investments were noted in the tourism sector, specifically involving Meira Lins Hoteis LTDA (R$ 78.6 million) and Ara Hoteis Merepe LTDA (R$ 53.9 million) in Pernambuco, as well as A. G. Hotéis e Turismo S.A. in Rio Grande do Norte (R$ 52.1 million).

By state, Pernambuco received five approved requests, followed by Bahia, Minas Gerais, and Rio Grande do Norte with three each. Ceará and Espírito Santo each had two, while Paraíba had one.
