Sudurpaschim Royals agree to shortened match in Nepal Premier League
The Sudurpaschim Royals and Biratnagar Kings have agreed to play a reduced 5-over per side match in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) following disruptions caused by rain.
The decision came after initial disagreements regarding playing conditions. While match umpires proposed a shortened contest, the Sudurpaschim Royals initially rejected the plan, citing safety concerns over a wet outfield. The dispute led to negotiations involving Sudurpaschim captain Dipendra Singh Airee, head coach Misbah-ul-Haq, and Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Secretary Paras Khadka.
Following discussions with match referees and pitch curators, both teams reached a consensus to proceed with the shortened fixture. The revised toss was scheduled for 9:00 PM.
