Nepal Premier League season developments

Overview

The third season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) commenced in late October. Misbah-ul-Haq was appointed as the head coach for the Sudurpaschim Royals, a franchise aiming for its first title after reaching the finals in previous editions.

During the tournament, the Sudurpaschim Royals and the Biratnagar Kings faced disruptions due to rain. After initial disagreements where the Royals cited safety concerns regarding a wet outfield, negotiations involving head coach Misbah-ul-Haq, captain Dipendra Singh Airee, and Cricket Association of Nepal Secretary Paras Khadka led to an agreement. The teams eventually consented to a shortened match consisting of five overs per side.
