Suhl Police investigate diesel theft from forestry machinery

Police in Suhl are investigating two thefts that occurred in the Schneekopf area during the night of August 27 to August 28, 2026. Unknown perpetrators targeted forestry machinery near the Schneekopf parking lot and the “Mordfleck” area.

Approximately 450 liters of diesel were pumped from the machines' tanks. In one of the incidents, a toolbox was also stolen. The total estimated damage is approximately 1,500 euros. Authorities are currently investigating whether there is a connection between the two incidents and are calling for witnesses to come forward.
