Sumitomo (SHI) Demag unveils fully electric injection molding solutions at Fakuma 2026

At Fakuma 2026, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, together with partner technotrans, will demonstrate fully electric injection molding systems for packaging, optics and medical technology. The showcase includes the IntElect S 280 producing beverage caps using a 48‑cavity HTW mold, and the IntElect S 75 creating high‑precision transparent components.

Company officials explain that coordinated control of the injection unit, mold, temperature regulation, cooling and material handling can raise productivity, improve part quality and lower energy consumption. Supporting partners will provide air‑cooled weco 85 chillers using propane (R290), high‑pressure pumps, Enesty’s Orca Plus water‑management system, and Eisbär’s cooling and dehumidification solutions, while the processed material is supplied by TotalEnergies.
