Fakuma 2026 electric injection molding showcase

Fakuma 2026, the leading German plastics trade fair held in Friedrichshafen, became a platform for multiple manufacturers to demonstrate fully electric injection‑moulding technology.

Wittmann Group exhibited three electric systems – the EcoPrimus machine, a FlexCell plus automation cell, and the MicroPower 15/10 – stressing energy efficiency, material saving and full process automation. Applications highlighted included protective caps for insulin pens and lab‑on‑a‑chip components with sub‑0.04 mm channels.

Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, together with technotrans and partner suppliers, presented its IntElect S 280 and IntElect S 75 electric moulding lines. Company officials explained how coordinated control of injection, mould, temperature, cooling and material handling can raise productivity, improve part quality and lower energy consumption for packaging, optics and medical‑technology parts. Supporting equipment featured propane‑cooled chillers, high‑pressure pumps, water‑management systems and material supplied by TotalEnergies.

The fair also hosted the moderatorenpool‑deutschland agency, which offered professional moderator services for conference sessions and presentations across the event.
