Summer festivals and fireworks scheduled in Fuji and Takasaki
Several summer festivals and fireworks displays are scheduled to take place in Japan on August 22 and 23.
In Fuji City, the 14th Rakuza Fireworks Festival will be held at the Fujikawa Rakuza roadside station on August 22. The event includes a 500-shell fireworks display starting at 20:00, alongside various festivities and a double dutch performance. A double dutch workshop is also scheduled for the following day.
In Gunma Prefecture, the 52nd Takasaki Matsuri will take place on August 22 and 23. The festival features a large fireworks display on August 22, with free viewing areas available for approximately 53,000 people. Due to the festivities, significant traffic restrictions will be in place between the Yashimacho and Aramachi intersections, and local shuttle buses will bypass certain stops within the restricted zones.
