Summer festivals scheduled for late August in Ichinomiya and Izumo

Various summer festivals are scheduled to take place in Japan during late August 2026.

In Ichinomiya City, the ‘Summer Vacation Last Summer Festival Vol. 3’ will be held on August 30 at the i-Build Civic Terrace. The free event features games, various shops including vegetable and snack vendors, and opportunities for children to experience running their own stalls.

In Izumo City, the ‘Shinmon-dori Summer Festival 2026’ is set for August 29 and 30 at the Shinmon-dori Traffic Plaza. The festival will include food trucks offering craft beer, sweets, and shaved ice, alongside traditional activities such as target shooting and super ball scooping. Scheduled entertainment includes performances by the Kobe River Taiko and an appearance by Shimane-ko.
