Summer theater seasons launch in Argentina and Chile

In Argentina, the Grupo de Teatro de Cáritas 9 de Julio is preparing its 37th season of the "Agosto a Todo Teatro" series. The season opens on Saturday, 8 August at the Teatro Rossini with the comedy "Cualquiera puede ser un asesino" and will run through 5 September. Ticket sales will benefit 18 local institutions, with performances scheduled weekly for schools, clubs and community groups.

In Chile, comedian and improviser Natalia Valdebenito will present her new show "El Tesoro" at the Teatro ICTUS on 27, 28 and 29 August. Each performance will be created live from a title supplied by the audience, feature a guest actress, live piano accompaniment by Felipe Foncea, and on‑stage technical contributions from lighting designer Mauricio Avila. Tickets go on sale on 7 August.
