Summer trends: recreational activities in Peru and extreme heat in Ibiza

Summer activities and weather conditions vary significantly across different regions. In Peru, January 2026 offers diverse recreational options, including water-based entertainment. In Lima Norte, Kochawasi Parque Acuático provides family-oriented pools and slides, while in Piura, YakuPark Órganos features a large inflatable water park at Playa Los Órganos, an area also known for humpback whale watching.

In contrast, residents and workers in Ibiza, Spain, are concluding a summer characterized by extreme heat and high humidity. Locals described the season as “brutal” and “unbearable,” noting that intense temperatures forced changes to daily schedules, work habits, and leisure activities. Many residents reported relying heavily on air conditioning and shifting outdoor activities to early morning or late evening to avoid the heat.
