Sunny Hostin faces defamation threat from Nolan Wells’ companions

Attorneys representing Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo, and Morgan Seymour are threatening a defamation lawsuit against Sunny Hostin, a co-host of ABC’s ‘The View’. The legal threat stems from comments Hostin made regarding the death of Nolan Wells, who disappeared during a Fourth of July trip to Horn Island.

In a letter dated September 16, legal counsel described Hostin’s journalism as ‘toxic’ and ‘moronic,’ alleging she exhibited ‘pure negligence and recklessness’ by making false statements. The dispute involves segments aired in July, where Hostin discussed inconsistencies regarding Wells’ cellphone records and social media profiles, and questioned why the companions were not interviewed individually by police.

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump is currently representing the parents of Nolan Wells in an independent investigation into his death.
