Honda Prelude GT500 clinches first win and 1‑2 finish at Super GT Fuji round
On 2 August 2026 the Super GT fourth round at Fuji Speedway saw the Honda Prelude GT500 secure its first series victory, finishing 1‑2 in the GT500 class. Car No. 100 STANLEY HRC PRELUDE‑GT driven by Naoki Yamamoto (山本尚貴) and Naoto Makino (牧野任祐) took the win, while the No. 8 ARTA Prelude driven by Kaku Ohta finished second. The race began under wet conditions; a large crash involving car No. 64 triggered a safety‑car period, after which the track dried and slick tyres proved decisive. In the GT300 class, the Green Brave GR Supra GT (car No. 52) driven by Hiroshi Yoshida and Seita Nonaka claimed victory, marking Yoshida’s first win since 2023 and a personal triumph after the July 28 Kumamoto earthquake that damaged his hometown. D’station Racing’s Vantage GT3, despite a strong qualifying showing, struggled in the wet and finished 23rd. The results set the stage for the next round at Suzuka.
