Super League Greece approves proposal for TV rights management
The Super League Greece has approved a proposal by Panathinaikos owner Giannis Alafouzos regarding the assessment of commerciality in the development of a central management model for television, internet, and other broadcasting rights.
The proposal passed with 11 votes in favor of excluding commerciality from the initial study phase. Conversely, Olympiacos, PAOK, and Kalamata voted in favor of an individualized assessment of each club's commercial dynamics. The Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) cast a blank vote.
Consultancy firms Deloitte and PwC have been tasked with conducting a study on the central management of these rights. The specific parameters and final assignment of the study will be decided in a subsequent Board of Directors meeting. Additionally, the Board announced that Goal Line Cameras are scheduled to be operational by the 8th matchday of the championship, between October 24 and 25, 2026.
