Supergirl digital release adds deleted scene featuring Ruthye Mary Knolle
The superhero film *Supergirl* is now available for digital purchase, and two previously unseen sequences have been released online. One is a full deleted scene that shows Ruthye Mary Knolle at home with her family before the antagonist Krem attacks, providing background that was missing from the theatrical cut. The other is an extended version of an existing scene in which Kara suggests calling the Vanguard to send Krem to the Phantom Zone.
The footage was shared by Fandango ahead of the movie’s upcoming 4K UHD, Blu‑ray and DVD release slated for early September. The film’s theatrical performance was weak, earning about $71 million domestically and $120‑124 million worldwide against a $170 million budget, and it holds a 53 % Rotten Tomatoes score. Industry observers note that the DC Cinematic Universe (DCU) will not be judged solely on this title, with future projects such as *Man of Tomorrow* already generating buzz.
