Supergirl film released digitally on July 28 with extensive bonus content

The superhero film Supergirl, directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor‑El, became available for digital purchase and rental on July 28. It can be streamed on platforms such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video and Fandango, with a physical Blu‑ray, 4K UHD and DVD release scheduled for September 8.

The digital edition includes more than 90 minutes of extra material, ranging from a behind‑the‑scenes documentary on Alcock’s first lead role to featurettes on production design, creature effects, and an animated short starring Krypto. A limited‑edition steelbook of the 4K Ultra HD version is also offered for preorder. The film earned roughly $124 million worldwide and received mixed critical reception, leading to a brief theatrical run before the home‑media rollout.

Physical‑media buyers will receive the film but miss most of the bonus features. No streaming date has been set for HBO Max.
