Superior Council of Magistracy to restore historic Chisinau building

The Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) has launched a public tender to prepare the technical and economic documentation required for the restoration of a former Moldova Railways building in Chisinau. Located on Vlaicu Pârcălab Street, the historic structure is intended to serve as the new headquarters for the CSM.

The maximum value of the procurement is 1 million lei (excluding VAT), which covers preliminary stages such as technical expertise, feasibility studies, and project sketches. This initial phase does not include the actual repair works. The tender is open, with the selection criterion being the lowest price.

Built in the 1880s, the building is a registered national monument of architectural, artistic, and historical significance. It previously served as a district court. The CSM stated that the project aims to preserve national judicial heritage by returning a building historically linked to the administration of justice to institutional use.
