Superior Engineering takes second place at Formula Student Spain
The 16th edition of Formula Student Spain took place from August 1 to 7 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, featuring a record 70 teams from 21 countries and approximately 1,700 students. The competition serves as a global educational platform for engineering students to test technical knowledge, management, and innovation.
Among the participants, the University of Ljubljana's student team, Superior Engineering, achieved a significant milestone by securing second place in the overall standings with their electric racer, "Triglav." The team also successfully completed the Endurance discipline for the first time, a challenging test of vehicle reliability and subsystem stability.
The event included 46 electric teams, 24 combustion teams, and 23 autonomous racing teams. Before competing in dynamic tests such as acceleration and autocross, all vehicles must pass rigorous technical inspections to ensure safety and engineering standards.
