Supermicro begins shipping NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 racks

Super Micro Computer, Inc. has commenced shipments of the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 rack, which integrates the company’s Data Center Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) and direct liquid cooling (DLC-2) technology stack.

The system is designed to optimize the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform by providing a complete liquid cooling loop, including cold plates, manifolds, and cooling towers. This integrated approach aims to reduce on-site deployment times by testing and verifying the entire cooling system before delivery. The solution supports scalable units containing up to 1,152 GPUs and 331TB of HBM4 memory, with power capacities ranging from 5MW to gigawatt scales.

Each rack integrates 72 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs and 36 NVIDIA Vera CPUs, offering a scale-up bandwidth of 216TB/s. Supermicro provides end-to-end management, covering everything from site surveys and design to integration, testing, and ongoing support.
