Supérate evaluates social program impact in Peravia

The social development agency Supérate held a listening session with over 1,300 beneficiary families in the Peravia province of the Dominican Republic. The meeting aimed to evaluate the impact of social programs and strengthen support for vulnerable households.

Director General Mayra Jiménez reported that Supérate currently impacts 28,672 families across the province and the municipalities of Baní, Matanzas, and Nizao. Support is provided through various subsidies and programs, including Aliméntate, Bonogás, Bonoluz, Supérate Mujer, and the National Fund for Children and Adolescents with Disabilities. Additionally, educational incentives such as Avanza and Aprende support 2,211 households to promote school retention.

During the encounter, families expressed demands for expanded coverage of the Aliméntate and Bonogás programs, inclusion in the disability fund, and increased pensions for senior citizens. Miguel Peña, the Valdesia Regional Director, noted that these sessions allow the institution to align its actions with the specific realities and needs of the territory.
