Supérate holds Hato Mayor forum to demand higher subsidies and broader program coverage

Supérate, the Dominican Republic’s social development agency, organized a meeting with beneficiaries in the province of Hato Mayor, including the municipalities of El Valle and Sabana de la Mar, to assess needs and strengthen protection.

The agency reported that 17,512 households receive assistance through programs such as Aliméntate, Bono Gas, Bono Luz, the educational incentive Aprende y Avanza, a disability subsidy of RD$6,000 for 51 families, and Supérate Mujer which provides RD$10,000 to 23 households. Families asked for higher subsidy amounts on the Supérate card, expanded coverage of Bono Gas, Bono Luz and solidary pensions for the elderly. Directors Mayra Jiménez and Alin Mercedes Calderón said the government will continue holding such encounters to adjust policies.
