The social development agency Supérate has extended social protection services to more than 14,000 households in the San José de Ocoa province, specifically covering the municipalities of Rancho Arriba, Sabana Larga, and San José de Ocoa.

During a recent meeting with over 1,200 beneficiary families, Director General Mayra Jiménez detailed various support programs, including Aliméntate, Bonogás, Bonoluz, Supérate Mujer, and the National Fund for Children and Adolescents with Disabilities. Additionally, the agency supports 1,525 households through the Avanza y Aprende educational incentives to encourage school retention.

Miguel Peña, Director of the Valdesia Regional office, emphasized that training is essential for fostering employment and entrepreneurship. Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the current programs but requested expanded coverage for the National Fund for Children and Adolescents with Disabilities and increased solidarity pensions for senior citizens.
