Supreme Court Minister Fux orders Senate to disclose visitor records
Supreme Federal Court Minister Luiz Fux has ordered the President of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre, to provide information regarding the entry and exit records of specific individuals within the Senate premises. The order, issued following a writ of mandamus filed by Curitiba councilman Guilherme Kilter, gives the Senate ten days to respond.
The requested records include those of Viviane Barci de Moraes, wife of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, and former banker Daniel Vorcaro. The request also seeks data concerning Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, son of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and Antônio Carlos Camilo Antunes, both of whom are mentioned in investigations regarding fraud in National Social Security Institute (INSS) discounts.
Minister Fux assumed the role of rapporteur after Alexandre de Moraes declared himself recused due to the involvement of his wife. Fux stated that the request does not appear to violate privacy or personal information. The decision comes amid separate investigations involving Banco Master and a contract involving Viviane Barci de Moraes, as well as inquiries into communications involving Daniel Vorcaro.
