Surabaya implements Prabowo Subianto's social welfare programs

Government programs initiated by President Prabowo Subianto are being implemented in Surabaya to support low-income citizens.

Bambang Haryo Soekartono, a member of the DPR RI, inspected the Integrated People's School 2 (Sekolah Rakyat Terintegrasi 2) in the Kedung Cowek area. This boarding school serves 270 students from elementary to high school levels, specifically targeting children from underprivileged families through the Family Hope Program (PKH). The government aims to expand this educational initiative from its current 193 locations to over 5,000 sites nationwide to ensure free access to education.

Additionally, the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) program is being monitored in the Tanah Kali Kedinding area. Cahyo Harjo Prakoso of the East Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD Jatim) conducted a site visit alongside representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Settlements to ensure the housing renovation aid reaches the intended recipients. In this specific location, 25 units have been approved, with 15 already completed.
